We currently work together with Putnam, Westchester & Dutchess Counties to provide related services to children found eligible through the County Department of Health Preschool Special Education Program. The Committee on Preschool Special Education (CPSE) is a county and state funded program that provides services for children 3-5 years old. The process includes an evaluation in order to determine eligibility, type of service required and frequency/duration of service. After a child is deemed eligible during an initial CPSE meeting, either the district administrator or caregiver may contact us directly to find a therapist. WPTT has a team of highly qualified and licensed therapists. Related services may be provided in our office, in your home, at your child’s daycare/preschool or in the community.

To start the process, you can call your school district and fill out the packet/consents for evaluations to take place. You may choose your evaluating agency. Once approved, your local school district will determine the location of where the services will be provided. Preschool Special Education is funded through county taxes and state funds. There is no direct cost to the parent or caregiver. WPTT is an approved evaluating agency and service provider.
